Aston Martin and Brough Superior Unveil Gorgeous Road-Legal AMB 002 Roadster

The 190-kg AMB 002 combines a 130-hp V-twin, titanium frame and limited 300-unit production run.

  • AMB 002 is the first street-legal motorcycle from Aston Martin and Brough Superior.

  • Its new 1,083-cc V-twin produces 130 hp and 81.13 lb-ft of torque.

  • Production is limited to 300 motorcycles, with deliveries scheduled to begin in Q3 2027.

Aston Martin and Brough Superior are taking their motorcycle partnership onto public roads with the exciting AMB 002 Roadster, a new limited-production model scheduled to reach customers beginning in the third quarter of 2027.

The AMB 002 is the first street-legal motorcycle the two companies have created. Their previous projects, the AMB 001 introduced in 2019 and AMB 001 Pro unveiled in 2022, were developed exclusively for track use. Production of the new Roadster will be restricted to 300 individually assembled examples, with initial orders now being accepted.

Brough Superior developed a new 1,083-cc, four-stroke, water-cooled V-twin for the motorcycle. It produces 130 bhp and 110 Nm (81.13 lb-ft) of torque, with its output calibrated to emphasize low- and mid-range response for road riding. Brough Superior designs, machines, and assembles the engine at its facility in Toulouse, France.

Weight reduction has a central role in the chassis. A titanium structural spine machined from solid billet weighs only five kilograms, while carbon-fibre bodywork and the carbon-fibre fuel tank help keep mass lower. Aston Martin and Brough Superior list total motorcycle weight at 190 kg with a 50:50 weight distribution.

The front suspension uses Brough Superior’s double-wishbone Fior fork architecture rather than a conventional telescopic arrangement. The design separates steering and braking loads and incorporates anti-dive characteristics. The version fitted to the AMB 002 builds on technology previously developed for the AMB 001 Pro.

Aston Martin’s design team incorporated several details linked to the automaker’s road cars and limited-production performance models. The motorcycle’s side treatment mimics the company’s familiar side strake, while twin oval exhaust outlets use ribbed heat sinks influenced by the Vanquish, DB12 S and DBX S. Rear lighting draws from designs used on the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla.

Other equipment includes low-mounted mirrors on lightweight stalks, keyless functionality, an illuminated ignition button and leather seat pads. Crescent-shaped openings in the side bodywork improve engine cooling and airflow management.

The AMB 002 also represents a new commercial phase for the collaboration. Aston Martin design chief Marek Reichman described a road-going motorcycle as a long-term objective following the two track machines, while Brough Superior president Thierry Henriette highlighted the Roadster’s upright riding position, lightweight construction and new engine.
