Update: Nissan has released teaser videos of both the Pathfinder and Frontier.
These are the next steps in Nissan’s Next overhaul plan.
The 2021 calendar year will be a busy one for the Japanese automaker.
Things are moving at a far more rapid rate over at Nissan than many would have thought. Calendar years 2019 and 2020 have taken a heavy toll on the Japanese automaker’s market shares, sales numbers, and coffers. Despite this, they are well on their way to revamping most of the oldest vehicles in their fleets, including the Pathfinder SUV and Frontier pickup.
We got our first glimpse of these two new vehicles, among others, when Nissan revealed their Nissan Next video teaser. In this video, we were shown profile shots of the Ariya, Armada, Kicks, and the new Z. In the mix were the Frontier and Pathfinder.
Little is officially known about the two trucks. Styling is expected to take cues from the Titan, at least in the Frontier’s case. As for the Pathfinder, it should be heavily inspired by the new Rogue. Also on the docket should be some seriously upgraded interiors with larger screens and more technology.
We’ll see it all on February 4, 2021, at 1:00 pm EST on Nissan USA Live.
