BMW’s New Face Will Have To Grow On You: Pictures Of The New BMW M4 Have Leaked

The official reveal of the G80 and G82 BMW M3 and M4 is getting closer and the grille’s not getting smaller.

  • The image shows exactly what most fear: a huge gaping kidney grille, from bonnet to splitter.
  • This larger picture confirms previously leaked ones where the grille is prominent.
  • A rendering of the new BMW M4 kind of helps…

An Instagrammer by the name of ZER.O.WT has drawn up a rendering of a new BMW M4 from the front and the rear and thanks to the handy work, we’re almost convinced that BMW hasn’t completely lost its mind. The leaked image was shared on Bimmerpost and it is from this image that the rendering was completed.

We’ve seen and shared a leaked image of the new BMW M3’s rear last fall and had little more to complain about than the rear diffuser – it shouldn’t be body-coloured. The rendering of the rear of the M4 sports a body-colour rear diffuser and, well, it works.

And that’s essentially the gist of it – if the new G80 BMW M3 and G82 BMW M4 look like the renderings, the company’s oversized nose will grow on us all. If anything, the expected 480-500-horsepower output from the turbo straight-6, like the ones found in the BMW X3 M (473-horsepower) and X3 M Competition (503-horsepower) and not to mention RWD or AWD configurations will without a doubt sway everyone.

While on the subject, BMW is also planning a “Pure” version with a little less power and, rejoice, a manual transmission instead of the standard 8-speed automatic the others will have.
