Electric Lincoln Rendering Is A More Luxurious Mustang Mach-E

COVID-19 has slowed down Lincoln's electrification plans, but the automaker has an EV on the way

  • Lincoln electric crossover rendering is based off of the Mustang Mach-E EV

This new Lincoln electric vehicle shows what a more luxurious version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E could look like.

Lincoln has been working on a new electric vehicle for a while, but we’re not quite sure how far along the company is in its project. Lincoln had to can a partnership with Rivian because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean the idea of a Lincoln EV has been shelved.

With Cadillac coming with the new Lyriq next month, Lincoln is surely preparing a rebuttal. With the new Mustang Mach-E in the Ford stable, Lincoln isn’t starting from scratch.

This rendering by KDesign AG shows us what a Lincoln electric vehicle could look like if based off of the Mustang Mach-E. The hood and overall shape are very close to the new Ford EV, but the Lincoln grille and wheels make the design just distinctive enough.

If Lincoln did base its next EV on the Mustang Mach-E, it would likely offer the same powertrains. That said, Lincoln may opt to only offer the most powerful versions.

That would mean it would come with all-wheel drive only and the long range battery good for 475 kilometres of range (300 miles) and 346 horsepower.
