2024 EQB 300 4MATIC introduces all-wheel drive, seats up to seven, and offers 340 km range.
Base model priced at $64,990 in Canada, with potential for federal and provincial incentives.
Features upgraded MBUX system, new safety technologies, and supports fast DC charging capabilities.
Mercedes-Benz Canada has announced the arrival of the refreshed EQB 300 4MATIC SUV by the end of Q2 2024. This SUV will join the existing front-wheel drive EQB 250+ model and add an all-wheel drive variant to Mercedes’ compact electric SUV lineup.
The versatile 2024 EQB 300 4MATIC offers seating for up to seven with an optional third row. Despite its compact dimensions, it provides generous interior space thanks to efficient packaging. The practical luxury SUV combines Mercedes’ powerful proportions with zero-emissions electric propulsion.
Under the hood, the EQB 300 4MATIC features a front-mounted asynchronous electric motor delivering 225 hp and 288 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The 70.5 kWh lithium-ion battery provides an estimated 340 km of range on a full charge.
Canadian pricing starts at $64,990 for the base EQB 300 4MATIC. Additional federal incentives up to $5,000 may apply, along with provincial incentives, depending on eligibility requirements.
For 2024, the EQB gets exterior styling updates like a new black panel grille with integrated LED lighting. The cabin benefits from enhancements to the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system and an available Burmester Surround Sound System with immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
Enhanced Features and Upgrades Arrive for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB
Standard equipment is generous, including a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, ambient lighting, and a power liftgate. New safety tech, like improved parking assistance and sensor upgrades, are part of the refresh as well.
An Exclusive trim level, priced at $67,490, adds the KEYLESS-GO package, foot-activated trunk release, and an advanced sound system to the base model.
The EQB supports DC fast charging from 10-80% in just 32 minutes. Accessing public chargers is simplified through the Mercedes me Charge network, which provides access to over 120,000 charging points across North America.
Mercedes is rapidly expanding its charging infrastructure, too. A new $1 billion joint venture with MN8 Energy aims to install 2,500 ultrafast chargers at 400 hubs by 2030. Another joint venture called IONNA received regulatory approval in February to add at least 30,000 more high-powered chargers across the continent.
