The most powerful version of the EQE SUV is about to arrive in the U.S. with two trim levels.
This electric SUV can deliver up to 677 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque.
The exterior receives a similar treatment to the AMG EQE sedan.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the prices for the AMG version of its new EQE electric SUV, which will start at $109,300 in the United States.
The EQE SUV is one of the newest models to join the automaker’s expanding lineup of electric vehicles, which also includes de related EQE sedan as well as the larger and more luxurious EQS sedan and SUV.
While the “regular” EQE SUV is already on sale, the AMG variant has had to wait a bit longer, as is usually the case.
Of course, performance is the main focus of this version, with a pair of AMG-specific motors that send power to all four wheels through the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system which can respond to road conditions and the driver’s inputs.
Other standard enhancements over the “regular” EQE SUV include active roll stabilization, rear axle steering, and an AMG-specific program for the adaptive air suspension.
This all helps control the high output of the vehicle, which can reach up to 677 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the available AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package which also includes a higher top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h) and the AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE noise generator.
In order to justify its higher base cost over the other models in the range, the AMG EQE SUV comes standard with additional features such as the MBUX Hyperscreen which spans the entire width of the dashboard, a Burmester 3D sound system, Active Park Assist, the Driver Assistance Plus Package, wireless device charging, Nappa leather, and a panoramic sunroof.
Outside, the AMG EQE SUV receives a similar treatment to the AMG EQE sedan, which means it is equipped with a gloss black front fascia that integrates vertical chrome bars, as well as the standard AMG Night Package or Night Package Plus which come with 21 or 22-inch wheels.
Inside, this model benefits from features such as unique AMG seat designs, embossed front headrests, red contrast stitching, and an AMG Performance steering wheel.
Opting for the top-of-the-line Pinnacle package brings the MSRP up to $112,600 and adds augmented reality vision for the navigation system, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, animated AMG logo projectors on the front doors, and an advanced USB package.
The first units of the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV are arriving at dealers across the United States but Canadian buyers will have to be patient since we don’t have all of the pricing and specifications for this model on our market at the moment.
