We can’t wait to see the new Chevrolet Corvette C8 mainly because we are running out of ways to speculate on it.
The latest 2020 Chevy Corvette C8 rendering is the only news about one of the most anticipated models of the year. This particular rendering, however, is hard to turn away from. If the next mid-engine Corvette C8 looks like this, Chevrolet will have a game changer on its hands.
The rendering was published by Chazcron on MidEngineCorvetteForum. Although the top 3/4 image isn’t out of the ordinary compared to other Chevy Corvette C8 renderings published so far, the rear is the most detailed representation of the upcoming Chevrolet flagship.
The headlight detail is pretty impressive and we quickly fell in love with the complexity of the rear end. The square-shaped, quad exhaust tips are a nice touch and we like the subtle spoiler.
Painted in Sebring Orange, a popular color on current Chevrolet Corvette models, the rendered C8 looks like it would be ready to hit the road tomorrow.
For now, renderings and spy shots are all we have to go on when it comes to the C8 Corvette. We doubted for a while if it was actually real, but a GM spokesperson confirmed to us that a major unveiling was coming later this year.
He didn’t provide any details except that it was going to be big. And so for now, we can only imagine what a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette with an engine mounted in the middle will be. Expect a lot of power as is the case with every Corvette, but we also believe Chevrolet will emphasize cornering and balance more than on any other previous Corvette.
Regardless of what the 2020 Corvette C8 will be, it needs to get here soon as anticipation for the new generation has pretty much stalled current C7 sales.
