In response to the unpredictable winter conditions Canadians face, Uniroyal’s Tiger Paw Ice & Snow 4 tire aims to offer dependable traction at an accessible price point. Sylvaine Cuniberti, director of marketing for Uniroyal in Canada, emphasized the importance of providing drivers with affordable yet reliable winter tires, regardless of their vehicle type or budget. The tire is now available in 57 sizes, making it compatible with many vehicles on Canadian roads.

The Tiger Paw Ice & Snow 4 incorporates several features to enhance safety and performance during severe winter weather. A next-generation winter compound allows the tire to remain flexible in freezing temperatures, earning it the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification for snow performance. Additionally, the tire meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements for braking on ice, marked by the Ice Grip symbol.

Full-depth interlocking sipes enhance handling, stabilizing the tread blocks to improve cornering and overall stability in snow and ice. Wide, open grooves combined with staggered tread blocks enable effective water, slush, and snow evacuation, further boosting the tire’s winter performance capabilities.

The 24 new sizes now available in the Tiger Paw Ice & Snow 4 range ensure that more vehicles, including the growing number of SUVs and CUVs on Canadian roads, can be equipped with reliable winter tires. Drivers can visit Uniroyal’s website to check the full list of available sizes and find the right fit for their vehicles.

The estimated price for a tire sized 225/60R17 is $185 per tire. Priced as such, this is indeed a good value if it lives up to expectations.
