Follows the announced updates to the BMW 5 Series a few weeks ago.
Well, maybe one complaint: Looks too subtle to be a giant-killer of a sedan.
Actual reveal happening this week.
Seriously, the number of new model leaks recently makes us wonder if these are actual accidents of if carmakers are not simply milking social media and the internet for all it’s worth… This time, it’s the new 2021 BMW M5 that lands on the web however this one’s not a surprise.
Only a few weeks ago, BMW revealed images and details about the facelifted and updated current-generation 5 Series. The changes can be summarized as follows: New, slightly larger grille, new headlights with LED that resemble those on the 3 Series, new taillights, and tailpipes. As well, 48V mild-hybrid technology latches on to the 6-cylinder while the V8’s output climbs to M850i levels or 553-horsepower from 456.
The leaked image of the new BMW M5, shared by wilcoblok, shows the slightly different front bumper, larger blacked-out wheels, appropriate badge location, and what looks to be a carbon-fibre roof panel. We assume the M5 will launch with the same 600-horsepower and 617-horsepower (Competition) versions. There are talks that an M5 CS, more lightweight materials and aero, might be introduced later this year as well.
See? BMW fans are not difficult to please.
