Mercedes-Benz introduces the 2023 EQB 250 SUV to the Canadian market, expanding its electric vehicle offerings. With a starting price of $59,990, this compact crossover delivers a blend of electric power, ample interior space, and cutting-edge features. Notably, the EQB 250 qualifies for both Canada’s $7,000 EV rebate and Quebec’s supplementary $5,000 rebate, enhancing its appeal to environmentally conscious buyers.

The EQB 250 SUV is equipped with a front-wheel-drive system powered by an electric motor that generates 188 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is equipped with a 70.5-kWh battery pack, providing an estimated range of almost 400 kilometers on a full charge. Charging convenience is supported by a maximum charging rate of 100 kW, enabling a swift 10 to 80 percent charge in approximately 32 minutes using a compatible DC fast-charger.

A distinctive feature of the EQB 250 is its available third-row seating option, a rarity among vehicles in its size category. Despite sharing a similar overall length with models like the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Cherokee, the EQB SUV stands out by offering a unique three-row configuration, catering to families seeking extra seating capacity.

The exterior design of the EQB showcases the iconic styling cues associated with the Mercedes brand, including eye-catching front and rear light bands. The vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency is further enhanced by features like an enclosed underbody, contributing to an impressive aerodynamic coefficient value as low as 0.28, dependent on trim and wheel choices.

Inside the cabin, the EQB offers a luxurious experience, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen multimedia display, ambient lighting, power liftgate, and premium leather trim.
