Geneva Auto Show 2018: The Range Rover SV Coupe

There is something deceptively simple and elegant about Range Rover’s very limited 2-door ultra-luxury SUV. At first glance, it looks like nothing’s going on but the moment the eye focuses on the absence of rear doors and the length of the front door, your sense melt.

How is it possible that such an unpretentious design decision has an impact of this magnitude? Speaking of magnitude, all body panels save for the bonnet and tailgate are unique to the SV Coupe. Wheel sizes will range from 21” to 23” and serve only as highlights to match the unique satin and chrome accents. The vehicle will be offered in eight different colours, in either gloss or satin finish, with a further sixteen SV Premium Palette colours to select from.

The cabin is beyond plush, loaded with an attention to detail that is second to none, and awash in stunning materials. The list of available features puts Bentley and Rolls Royce to shame and would require another thousand words to cover.

Wait, Bentley and Rolls Royce? Um, yeah… you see, the RR SV Coupe will be priced from $335,000 in Canada. Only 999 will be hand-crafted by SVO for clients worldwide so you’ll need to rush in order to get yours!

Moving along, the SV Coupe will be powered the brand’s most powerful 5.0-liter supercharged V8 ever. It produces 557-horsepwoer and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. With its 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the SV Coupe will reach 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
