The Lamborghini Sián is one of the most exclusive and powerful Lambos ever built. According to the Italian supercar maker, only 63 Coupes and 19 Roadster will ever be assembled. We now know this is not true. Lambo, along with Lego, has created a 64th Coupe which, although can’t be driven, probably cost almost as much as the real Coupe’s $2.64 million asking price.
What boggles our minds is the amount of work that went into making this 400,000-piece Lego model. This scale-reproduction Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 required a team of 15 people 8,660 hours of development work and painstaking construction to put together.
“Lamborghini is a dream for people around the world, and LEGO products provide creative inspiration for millions,” said Stephan Winkelmann President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “We’re delighted to have collaborated on this unique edition of the Lamborghini Sián, that will catch the imagination of Lamborghini and LEGO fans alike.”
The Sián’s body panels include an intricate fabric of bespoke interconnecting hexagonal LEGO Technic elements. In fact, Lego had to mold 20 unique pieces in order to complete this project. Heck, the model even features working head- and taillights built from Lego Technic pieces! Huge efforts were also put into putting the interior together. It even features a steering wheel and seats made from the famous blocks.
