Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition, a limited-production model commemorating the French driver’s record-tying ninth FIA World Rally Championship title. The prototype was revealed at the 2026 Rallye Monte-Carlo, the opening round of the current WRC season.
The special edition will be strictly restricted to 200 units worldwide, split evenly between Japan and select European markets – none for North America, obviously. Japanese customers can enter a purchasing lottery beginning in spring 2026 through Toyota’s GR app.
The Ogier edition, based on the spunky GR Yaris Aero performance package, introduces two exclusive all-wheel-drive control modes developed through motorsport involvement.
The “SEB.” mode, created in collaboration with Ogier, replaces the standard TRACK setting. It delivers a 40:60 front-to-rear torque distribution, enabling rear-wheel drive control while preserving front-wheel steering responsiveness. Toyota states the mode could reduce lap times in competitive driving by improving driver-vehicle “understanding”.
The “MORIZO” mode replaces the GRAVEL setting. Named after Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda’s racing alias, this configuration maximizes the binding force between front and rear wheels during acceleration while easing it during braking. Toyota describes the result as improved traction and cornering performance, which Ogier selected for inclusion.
The exterior features Black Gravite, a new colour developed exclusively for this edition that represents its motorsport activities. Additional exterior elements include matte black wheels, blue brake callipers matching Ogier’s signature colour, and a radiator grille badgereferencing the French flag. The front windshield carries Morizo’s autograph, while exclusive emblems and vinyl graphics complete the visual package.
Inside, the steering wheel has a slightly smaller outer diameter than the standard GR Yaris, with repositioned switches inspired by the GR Yaris Rally2 competition car. Tricolour stitching appears on the steering wheel, while the leather-wrapped vertical parking brake receives gray stitching. A serial-number plate commemorates the 2025 championship, and the instrument cluster displays the exclusive drive mode names.
Ogier secured the 2025 drivers’ title in a season that extended to the final round. Competing in 11 of the season’s events, he recorded 10 podium finishes, including six victories. The championship was decided at Rally Saudi Arabia, the season finale, where Ogier clinched his ninth title to tie the all-time WRC record.
