First three cities Polestar Space locations announced in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco
New retail stores will open in the second half of 2020
Six other Polestar Space stores expected to open in 2021
Polestar will open its first stores in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles in the second half of 2020, the company said in a press release sent Monday.
The Swedish automaker born as a Volvo sub-brand is now independent with two models, the hybrid Polestar 1 coupe and all-electric Polestar 2 four-door fastback.
The Polestar 2 starts at just $59,900 in the US and $69,900 in Canada.
Much like the Tesla Store, the Polestar Space will be small retail spaces that look more like electronic shops in a mall than a full-service dealership. The sales reps won’t be paid by commission.
Buyers within a 150-mile radius of the Polestar Space can have their new Polestar delivered to them and picked-up when in need of service.
Polestar says five more Polestar Space locations will open in 2021 in or near Boston, Denver, Dallas, Washington D.C., and Florida.
Manhattan Motorcars, Galpin Motorsports, and the Price-Simms Automotive Group will operate the first Polestar Space locations.
